Mount Olive Lutheran Church was founded in 1956 as "The Northwest Lutheran Mission," an offshoot of Immanuel, Redeemer, and St. James Lutheran Churches.
That same year, under Pastor Richard J. Scholz, the congregation chose "Mount Olive Lutheran Church" as its name, meeting in a remodeled farmhouse.
In 1958, the Education Building was completed and dedicated; the Sanctuary and offices were built 1967-1968.
During its history, the church has been served by six full-time pastors and four interim pastors. Most recently, Pastor Kenneth Bomberger was ordained and installed at Mount Olive in June, 2008.
